It was Snuffles the Dog on Quick Draw McGraw. Whenever Quick Draw needed Snuffles to help him sniff out the trail of a bad guy, he had to first give Snuffles a treat. Snuffles would swallow the treat, hug himself, float in the air for a moment, and slowly return to earth. These kids find a GIANT robot with it’s controls in it’s head. They use the robot to save someone from an ice queen or something…..but it’s NOT the movie from the 70s and 80s.
I was born in 1956 and I was watching this as a 4,5,6 or 7 year old……
I remember the robot looked kind of like Gigantor in it’s design.

It vaguely reminds me of that dramatic and beautiful anthem-like movement in “Jupiter” from Gustav Holst’s ” The Planets” suite.
