One of my all-time favorite characters!!
It was Snuffles the Dog on Quick Draw McGraw. Whenever Quick Draw needed Snuffles to help him sniff out the trail of a bad guy, he had to first give Snuffles a treat. Snuffles would swallow the treat, hug himself, float in the air for a moment, and slowly return to earth.
